I’m a dramaturg and writer based in Chicago, IL, currently serving as the resident dramaturg at Silk Road Rising. Previously I’ve worked with Fifth House Ensemble, A-Squared Theatre Workshop and Halcyon Theatre, among others. I am a member of the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas, and hold an M.A. from Illinois State University and a B.A. from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
In addition to my duties at Silk Road Rising, I try to maintain an active schedule as a production dramaturg, writer of plays, and some-time web designer and developer. Please take a look at some of the work I’ve done. If you like what you see and would like to work with me, feel free to email me.
Dramaturgy is a passion of mine that was sparked when my college playwriting professor suggested I take it as an elective. Since then I’ve worked on a variety of projects, from traditional productions to new play workshops. Most recently I worked with Valparaiso University on their production of The House of Bernarda Alba. Go here for more snapshots of a few recent and memorable shows.

While most of my time is spent working as Silk Road Rising’s resident dramaturg, I’m still a writer at heart. I really enjoyed working with A-Squared Theatre Workshop with my contribution to their variety show, My Asian Mom. Currently I’m working on a top-secret project with another Chicago theatre company. Look here for more examples of my writing.

Web design and development are pet interests of mine, and sometimes I like to flex those muscles for my friends, including actor and voice artist Sam Buti. I’m particularly fond of the WordPress platform. Here you can see examples of a few websites I’ve created for other theatre professionals.
